Patrick Marren (BA, MscAgricEcon) is the Deputy Director at Kimmage DSC. He has worked there for over twenty years. One of the many duties related to this role is to oversee and implement
proper financial procedures at the college.

Patrick is also the BA coordinator of the programmes at Kimmage DSC and at MS-TCDC in Arusha, Tanzania. He teaches modules in
Political Economy of Development, Sustainable Livelihoods, Microfinance and Research Methods. He facilitates students in undertaking primary research in development related fields and is an occasional lecturer in Sustainable Livelihoods and Poverty Reduction Strategies and Microfinance and Development for the Dtalk programmes at Kimmage.

He has worked through Kimmage DSC in East Africa - Ethiopia, Kenya Tanzania, and West Africa - Sierre Leone and the Gambia. His areas of interest lie in, aid effectiveness, complex systems and resource limits and the impact of the rise of China and development alternatives.
