KIMMAGE AND CDPC

Kimmage DSC is pleased to be a member of a new Consortium known as ‘Combating Diseases of Poverty Consortium’ (CDPC) see www.cdpc.ie   which was formally launched in December 2007.

This is a cluster of scientific, academic and NGO professional expertise, along with partners in the private sector, working together to build educational capacities for combating diseases of poverty, with the initial focus on east Africa.   See the downloadable presentation – which indicates the range of partners involved in this programme, which is funded by Irish Aid and the Higher Education Authority.    There are 3 main strands to the programme:  1.) A program of trainer training and exchanges; 2.) Dissemination to the broader public, focusing on secondary school teachers and transition year students; 3.) A Speakers Series and Master Class Seminars with world-class researchers.
